The Learning Journey

Based on a virtual balloon flight stopping off at 12 centres of cultural importance, The Learning Journey is an online learning system involving research, collaboration, multi-modal communication and problem solving. The journey focuses on both subject-specific areas and cross-curricula themes, complementing National Curriculum requirements. TAG developed this for Dudley LEA and Nesta FutureLab , on behalf of the DfES.

Commissioned by the QCA and the Technology Education Research Unit (TERU) at Goldsmiths College , TAG Learning is undertaking the work to develop a system of assessment that will measure and reward design innovators in D&T. Cutting edge technology includes integrating the use of wireless handhelds in design and technology exams with an online e-portolio system to moderate the candidates final work.

MAPS - Managed Assessment ePortfolio System

MAPS is a ground-breaking web-enabled e-portfolio tool to facilitate formative online assessment of pupils' cross-curricular work at KS2 to KS5. The system also supports Key Skills and CLAiT 2006. Teachers and pupils can access their e-portfolios 24/7 anywhere with an internet connection to assign tasks, upload work, message and finally mark and assess. MAPS is designed to save teachers time and make assessment more effective and manageable. And because TAG manages the system and ensures that it is secure, teachers can focus on teaching and working with their pupils rather than on the technology.

Walkers Showcase

The Walkers Showcase web site was conceived, created, developed and managed by TAG in conjunction with Walkers Snack Foods to provide a free online space for schools to use to show off the pupils' creativity. Every school in the United Kingdom and Eire was given the ability through Walkers Showcase to upload their childrens' best pieces of work (movie, images, sound files, presentations etc) to share with parents and the public at large on the internet.

Creating Spaces

This web site is a hub for the Creating Spaces community, showcasing the many ways in which educators have implemented creative uses of technology in education. It is an interactive, contributitive web site allowing people to share, discuss and reflect on a wide range of educational practice and ideas.
