The QX3 microscope has now been employed across the whole primary age range within our school. There are endless possibilities for its use within National Curriculum subjects; the most obvious being Science. For example in year 4; we used the live mode to view minibeasts; including watching a woodlouse give birth to 5 babies. This generated much enthusiasm amongst the pupils. The snapshots were exported to a word processor and text added to complete the science experiments. The software was easy to install and the children were able to use it with the minimum of help.
