ReacTickles @ BETT 2008
Monday 3rd of September 2007
At BETT 2008, TAG Learning Ltd. ("TAG") will be showcasing ReacTickles, an ICT tool designed to develop concentration and attention skills, as well as encouraging sharing and imaginative play. Targeted at foundation level and SEN, this program is particularly relevant for pupils with Autism. ReacTickles will be featured on the TAG stand (B56).
Causing a stir amongst SEN and Foundation level educators, ReacTickles provides an interactive environment where players freely explore abstract shapes, creating rhythmic responses with their fingers and bodies without judgement or fear. Ideal for interactive whiteboards, this software focuses on improvisational activity rather than a set of predetermined routines. Confidence is gained through the opportunity to repeat actions, with each exploration offering a new and unique visual or auditory reward. The real beauty of ReacTickles is that it supports action-driven child-led, spontaneous play, which is so central to creative and social development for all young children.
ReacTickles is highly motivating and have been shown to help children develop concentration and attention skills, as well as encouraging sharing and imaginative play. Overall impact includes reducing anxiety levels in general and has great social potential.
